PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

flarewebconnect.xyz is an impersonation phishing page dressed up as Naoris Protocol. Its title, "Home | Naoris Protocol", copies the project's own homepage branding. The domain name has no connection to Naoris and instead suggests a generic web or wallet connection service. The page targets people who follow the project or hold its tokens. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-08, and the site was still online with its content live on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Pages like this copy a real project's homepage so a visitor arriving from a social post, airdrop announcement or direct message believes they are on the official site. The victim is then pushed toward an action that looks routine for a crypto project, such as connecting a wallet to claim or verify something, or entering wallet details. Approving a transaction or signature on a fake site can give the operators control over tokens. Typing a recovery phrase hands over the whole wallet. Any assets lost this way are usually unrecoverable.

Evidence

Eight of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-18: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar, VIPRE and desenmascara.me. That is a minority of engines, but it is a spread of independent vendors. Spamhaus lists the domain on its DBL as spam. Besides PhishDestroy, the domain is blocklisted by ScamSniffer, a feed focused specifically on Web3 scams. Four AlienVault OTX threat pulses also reference it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-08, the same day PhishDestroy detected it. That timing points to a domain bought for immediate use rather than a long-standing site that was compromised. It was registered through TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown and is hosted in Bangladesh on the NEW DHAKA HARDWARE network. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gives the page a browser padlock, which says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

Do not connect a wallet to flarewebconnect.xyz or enter anything on it. Reach Naoris Protocol only through links on its verified official channels. If you connected a wallet, revoke any token approvals granted during that session with a trusted approval-management tool. Then move your remaining funds to a fresh wallet. If you typed a seed phrase or private key, treat that wallet as fully compromised and empty it immediately. Defenders should block the domain and its hosting IP 163.61.188.5, and add it to mail and web filters, since it remained live weeks after detection.
