PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

fkae.pages.dev is a fake token airdrop page that impersonates Solana. It carried the title "Solana Foundation | Airdrop Program" and targeted Solana wallet holders hoping to claim free tokens. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-04, the same day it went live. The site has been offline since 2026-09-16 after the hosting provider blocked its content, and it was still down when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Fake airdrop pages borrow the name of a trusted project, here the Solana Foundation, and announce a limited-time token distribution to create urgency. The visitor is told to connect a wallet to check eligibility or claim an allocation. The claim step is typically a malicious transaction or approval request that hands the attacker control over the wallet's SOL and tokens. Some variants instead ask for a seed phrase under the pretext of verification. Either way, the victim gets nothing and can lose the entire contents of the wallet.

Evidence

On 2026-09-17, VirusTotal showed 2 of 89 engines flagging the site, from Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and LevelBlue. That count is low, which is common for short-lived pages on shared hosting platforms. The site is also listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist. The hosting provider's own block of the content supports the classification.

Infrastructure

The site was created on 2026-09-04 as a project on Cloudflare Pages, which lets anyone publish a site under a free pages.dev subdomain. It resolved to 188.114.96.9 on the Cloudflare, Inc. network, with Canada listed as the location. Its TLS certificate was issued by Google Trust Services (WE1), which is standard for sites on this platform.

What to do

If you only opened the page, no action is needed beyond avoiding it. If you connected a Solana wallet or signed anything, use a token approval or delegation revocation tool to remove any permissions you granted, and move remaining funds to a fresh wallet if you are unsure what you signed. If you entered a seed phrase, treat the wallet as compromised and transfer all assets to a new wallet created with a new seed phrase immediately. Remember that genuine Solana airdrops never ask for your recovery phrase. Defenders should block the domain, watch for similar Solana-branded airdrop pages on free hosting subdomains, and report new instances to the hosting provider.
