PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

firelight-allocations.baby impersonates Firelight, a digital-asset protection brand, under the page title "Firelight – The Protection Layer for Digital Assets". The "allocations" wording in the domain targets Firelight users and crypto holders who expect a token distribution or reward. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-10-07. As of 2026-10-19 the domain was still registered, but its DNS was inactive and the page was not serving content.

How the scam works

Allocation-themed phishing copies the look and title of the real project, then tells visitors they have tokens or rewards waiting to be claimed. The claim step usually asks the victim to connect a wallet and sign a transaction or approval, or to enter a seed phrase to verify eligibility. Either one hands control of the victim's funds to the operator. Because Firelight presents itself as a protection layer, the fake page borrows that sense of safety to make the request look routine.

Evidence

On 2026-10-11, 13 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data and Kaspersky. That is a modest share of engines, but the vendors come from several independent security companies. urlscan.io rated the page malicious and recognized the Firelight brand on it. The domain also appears on the MetaMask, ScamSniffer and SEAL blocklists alongside PhishDestroy, so wallet-focused defenders reached the same conclusion.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Spaceship, Inc. on 2026-10-07, the same day PhishDestroy detected it. That suggests it was set up for immediate use rather than aged to build trust. It sits behind Cloudflare's network in the US, which hides the origin server. The Let's Encrypt certificate gives the padlock icon but says nothing about who runs the site.

What to do

If you only opened the page, close it and do not return. If you connected a wallet or signed anything there, revoke token approvals with a trusted approval-checking tool and move remaining assets to a fresh wallet. If you typed a seed phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and transfer funds immediately to a new wallet with a newly generated phrase. Defenders should block the domain and watch for similar Firelight allocation lookalikes on throwaway TLDs.
