Overview

fc27coins.online presents itself as an "FC 27 Coins & Points Generator" that promises free FUT coins. It imitates the currency system of the FC 27 football game and targets Ultimate Team players looking for a shortcut. PhishDestroy classifies it as impersonation phishing and first flagged it on 2026-10-04. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and its page was reachable.

How the scam works

Coin generators never add coins to an account, because in-game currency can't be created from outside the game's servers. Pages like this one usually ask for a username and platform, play a fake generation animation, and then demand a "human verification" step. That step is the real payload. It can involve signing in with the game or platform account, entering a phone number or email, completing surveys, installing apps, or paying a small "unlock" fee. Victims can lose their gaming account and everything in it, along with personal details and sometimes card data, and they get no coins.

Evidence

On 2026-10-18, five of 92 VirusTotal engines marked the domain as malicious: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a low count, so many browsers and security tools may still let the page load without a warning. The domain is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist and appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which means other researchers have tied it to malicious activity.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Namecheap on 2026-06-23, roughly three months before PhishDestroy detected it. The site is hosted on Namecheap's network on a server located in the Netherlands. Its TLS certificate is a domain-validated certificate from Sectigo. The padlock only shows that the connection is encrypted and says nothing about who runs the site.

What to do

If you entered a game, console or platform login on this site, change that password now and also change it anywhere you reused it. Turn on two-factor authentication and sign out of all active sessions from the account's security settings. If you installed anything during the "verification" step, uninstall it and run a security scan. If you paid or entered card details, contact your bank to dispute the charge and block the card, and expect follow-up phishing at any email or phone number you gave. Defenders should block the domain, add it to web filters used by younger gamers, and watch for similar "free coins" domains themed around the same game.
