PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

fascinating-gelato-983979.netlify.app is a credential phishing page that presents a bare "Sign in to your Account" prompt on a randomly named Netlify subdomain. It names no specific service, so it can be aimed at whatever account its links claim to come from. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-06. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still alive and redirecting visitors, so the address remains dangerous.

How the scam works

Victims usually arrive through a link in an email, chat message or ad that warns of a problem with their account or asks them to verify it. The page shows a generic sign-in form, and anything typed into it, including email addresses, usernames and passwords, goes to the operators rather than to any real service. With those details, attackers can take over the account, reset other services tied to the same email, and reuse the password wherever it was recycled. The current redirect means the link can still send visitors on to another page.

Evidence

17 of 89 engines on VirusTotal flagged the address on 2026-09-15. They include alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, ESET, Emsisoft, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data and Google Safe Browsing. Google Safe Browsing classifies it as SOCIAL_ENGINEERING, the category for deceptive pages, so Chrome, Firefox and Safari users should see a warning interstitial. PhishDestroy lists it on its own blocklist.

Infrastructure

The page sits on a free Netlify subdomain whose auto-generated name requires no domain purchase, which makes it quick and cheap to stand up and to replace. It is served from Amazon's AWS network (AMAZON-02) at an address located in Germany. The DigiCert certificate is the platform's standard one, so the padlock in the browser proves nothing about who runs this page.

What to do

If you entered credentials here, change that password immediately, starting with your email account, and change it on every other service where you used the same one. Turn on two-factor authentication, preferably an authenticator app or security key. Review recent sign-ins, forwarding rules and recovery options for changes you did not make. Defenders should block the full subdomain, search mail and proxy logs for visits since 2026-09-06, and report the page to Netlify's abuse team so it is taken down.
