On 2026-10-16, VirusTotal showed 9 of 92 engines flagging the domain. The vendors included alphaMountain.ai, Emsisoft, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, Netcraft, SOCRadar and URLQuery. Detection is modest, but these are independent vendors converging on the same domain within days of its registration. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tied it to malicious activity. Among the blocklists we track, only PhishDestroy lists it so far.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-10-03 through Fewmoretaps OU d/b/a Trustname.com and drew detections within about two weeks. That short gap between registration and flagging is typical of throwaway domains. It sits behind Cloudflare, with the address geolocating to Canada, which hides the real origin server from visitors and investigators. Its Let's Encrypt certificate means the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the site can be trusted.
