PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ethtvl.com is an impersonation phishing page aimed at cryptocurrency users. The 'eth' prefix suggests it targets the Ethereum crowd. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-15. On 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its phishing content, so it remains a live threat to anyone who lands on it.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages copy the look of a trusted crypto service closely enough that visitors take them for the real thing. They then ask the visitor to connect a wallet, sign a transaction, enter a seed phrase or log in. Whatever is handed over goes straight to the operator, and signed approvals or exposed recovery phrases let the operator empty the wallet. The browser tab reads '编组 21', Chinese for 'Group 21', which is a default layer name from a design tool. That label does not name any brand, but PhishDestroy classified the page as impersonation phishing.

Evidence

Two crypto-specific blocklists, MetaMask and SEAL, list the domain alongside PhishDestroy. Wallet users running MetaMask's protection should therefore see a warning before the page loads. Spamhaus carries it in its DBL under the phishing category. On 2026-09-25, 7 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged it: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue and SOCRadar. That is modest coverage, and many general-purpose filters will still let the page through. Five AlienVault OTX threat pulses also reference the domain.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Gname.com Pte. Ltd. on 2025-12-16, about nine months before PhishDestroy detected it. A domain held that long before it surfaces is often staged in advance for use in a campaign. The site sits behind Cloudflare's network, which hides the real origin server, and its address geolocates to Canada.

What to do

If you connected a wallet to ethtvl.com, open a token-approval manager right away and revoke any permissions granted around your visit. If you typed in a seed phrase or private key, treat that wallet as compromised and move the remaining assets to a newly created wallet. If you entered exchange or account credentials, change the password, reset two-factor authentication and review recent activity. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and the proxy, search logs for past visits, and report it to Cloudflare so the origin can be traced.
