duplicate-disabled-725239.invalid posed as the official site of MUSOR DROP (МУСОР ДРОП), a Russian-language case-opening and skin-upgrade brand. The Russian-language page title advertised "the best cases and upgrade" to draw in gamers looking to open loot cases or trade up items. PhishDestroy first flagged the domain on 2026-08-31 and classifies it as impersonation phishing. The site has been offline since 2026-09-25 and was still unreachable when checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Lookalike case-opening sites copy a known brand's name and layout so visitors believe they are on the real platform. They typically push a sign-in step, often a fake gaming-account login window, or ask for a balance top-up before the first case can be opened. Credentials typed into such a form go straight to the operators, who can then take over the account and strip its inventory. Any money deposited to "open cases" or "upgrade" items is paid to the impersonator, not the brand, and cannot be withdrawn.

Evidence

Five of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain when it was scanned on 2026-09-13: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That is modest coverage, but the five are independent vendors that reached the same verdict. The domain also appears in five AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which means other researchers tracked it separately. PhishDestroy lists it on its own blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-08-24 through Fewmoretaps OU, operating as Trustname.com. PhishDestroy detected it just seven days later, which fits a short-lived site set up for a quick campaign. The site sat behind Cloudflare, with the IP geolocated to Canada. That setup hides the real origin server from visitors and investigators.

Turn on two-factor authentication, sign out all other sessions, and check for unfamiliar trade offers or API keys tied to the account.
