PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

drughub.id presents itself as a gateway to the DrugHub marketplace under the title "DrugHub - Safe access to your favorite market". PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page aimed at people searching for a working way into that market. We first flagged it on 2026-09-23. The site was still online with its content live on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Lookalike "safe access" portals target users of markets whose real addresses are hard to verify and change often, so people go looking for a link. This page mimics the DrugHub brand to make a copied login screen look like the genuine entrance. Usernames, passwords and any second-factor codes typed there go to the operators, who can take over the account and empty its balance. Clones of this kind can also show their own deposit addresses, so any cryptocurrency sent to "fund" the account goes straight to the scammers and cannot be recovered.

Evidence

Detection by other vendors is limited. On 2026-10-06, 6 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and VIPRE. The domain appears in 3 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have independently linked it to malicious activity. Among the blocklists we track, only PhishDestroy lists it, which means many browsers and filters will still load it without a warning.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2025-11-24 through PT Web Media Technology Indonesia, about ten months before we detected it. That gap fits a domain held in reserve or used quietly before it surfaced in phishing. The server sits on a Namecheap, Inc. network in the United States. The site uses a domain-validated Sectigo certificate, so the padlock only confirms an encrypted connection and says nothing about who runs the page.

What to do

If you logged in through drughub.id, assume the account is compromised. Change the password on the real service from a trusted address, and reset any reused passwords elsewhere. Rotate or re-enroll whatever second factor or PGP-based login you use. Do not send funds to any deposit address this page showed you, and treat coins already sent as lost. Defenders should block the domain and its hosting IP at DNS and proxy level, and add it to filters that do not yet list it.
