PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

dropingnow087.netlify.app is an impersonation phishing page on a free Netlify subdomain. Its 'droping now' name reads like an airdrop or token-drop lure. The crypto-focused blocklists that list it point to wallet holders as the intended victims. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-13. On 2026-10-19 the address still resolved, but its content was unreachable.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages of this kind copy the look of a known crypto project, wallet or claim portal. They then push the visitor to connect a wallet, sign a transaction or type in a recovery phrase to 'receive' tokens. A signed approval lets the operator move tokens out of the wallet. A typed seed phrase hands over the whole wallet. The page currently shows the title 'Site not available', while our classification is impersonation phishing.

Evidence

17 of 89 VirusTotal engines flag the address as of 2026-09-19. The flagging vendors include alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CyRadar, Ermes, ESET, Emsisoft, Fortinet and G-Data. The detections come from vendors with separate pipelines, not one feed copied around. The domain also appears on the MetaMask, ScamSniffer and SEAL blocklists alongside PhishDestroy. Those three focus specifically on crypto fraud, which ties this page to wallet-targeting activity.

Infrastructure

The site is a subdomain on Netlify, so the operator did not need to register a domain. Spinning up numbered throwaway pages like this one costs nothing. Traffic is served from Amazon.com, Inc. infrastructure in Germany. The DigiCert certificate is Netlify's standard platform certificate. The padlock only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

If you connected a wallet or signed anything on this page, use a token-approval checker to revoke any approvals you do not recognize. Move remaining funds to a fresh wallet if you are unsure what you signed. If you entered a seed phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and transfer assets to a new wallet with a newly generated phrase immediately. Real airdrops never ask for a recovery phrase. Defenders should block the hostname and watch for similarly numbered Netlify subdomains. Abuse reports can go to Netlify for takedown.
