Overview

distributions-embercurve.com is an impersonation phishing page posing as Curve and aimed at crypto users who expect a token distribution or reward. The name pairs "distributions" with a Curve-flavoured word, the kind of address built to look like an official claim portal. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-07. As of 2026-10-19 the domain no longer resolves in DNS, so the page is offline, though the name stays registered and could return.

How the scam works

Curve impersonation sites usually promise an airdrop, distribution or rewards claim, then ask the visitor to connect a wallet and sign what looks like a routine confirmation. That signature or token approval lets the operator move the victim's assets, and some versions ask outright for a seed phrase. When we checked, the page title read "Just a moment...", a generic browser check screen with no Curve branding, while our classification rests on the domain's Curve impersonation and its listings on crypto-focused blocklists.

Evidence

Five of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-07: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet and Gridinsoft. That count is low, as is typical for a domain only days old, but stronger support comes from wallet-security sources. MetaMask and SEAL both list it alongside PhishDestroy, and Spamhaus carries it in its domain blocklist as spam. It also appears in two AlienVault OTX threat pulses.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-30 through NICENIC INTERNATIONAL GROUP CO., LIMITED and was caught one week later, a short lifespan that fits disposable campaign domains. It sat behind Cloudflare (AS13335, US), which hides the real origin server, and used a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock icon said nothing about legitimacy.

What to do

If you connected a wallet or signed anything on this site, use a token-approval checker to revoke permissions granted around that time and move remaining funds to a fresh wallet. If you typed in a seed phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and transfer everything out immediately. Only claim Curve rewards through Curve's own interface, reached from a bookmark rather than links in ads, DMs or replies. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and watch for lookalike "distributions" or Curve-themed domains registered in the same window.
