Overview

de.vexotra.com presented itself as "REMEDY - Automated Bot Trading Platform", borrowing the look of an automated crypto trading service to win the trust of people hoping a bot will grow their funds. PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page and first flagged it on 2026-09-19. The site has been offline since 2026-09-26, and as of 2026-10-19 its DNS no longer resolves.

How the scam works

Fake trading-bot platforms follow a familiar script. Visitors are invited to register, then asked to deposit cryptocurrency so the "bot" can trade on their behalf. A dashboard shows steady, invented profits to encourage larger deposits. When the victim tries to cash out, withdrawals are blocked or made conditional on extra "fees" or "taxes", which are simply further deposits. Victims can lose everything they send, and any login credentials or personal details they enter on the page.

Evidence

Thirteen of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain on 2026-09-22, including alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, CyRadar, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet and G-Data. Several major vendors reaching the same verdict within days of the domain's appearance is a strong signal. Google Safe Browsing lists it under SOCIAL_ENGINEERING, the category for deceptive pages that trick users into handing over money or data. Spamhaus DBL lists the domain as spam, and it is on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-17 through TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown, just two days before PhishDestroy detected it. That rapid turnaround from registration to live scam page is typical of disposable fraud domains. The site was hosted on the NEW DHAKA HARDWARE network in the US. It used a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the browser padlock showed only that the connection was encrypted, not that the operator was legitimate.

What to do

If you deposited crypto through this site, stop sending funds. Do not pay any "withdrawal fee" or "unlock tax", because that money is lost as well. Record your transaction hashes and the addresses you paid, then report the theft to your local police and to the exchange you sent from. If you reused the password you created here, change it everywhere it appears and turn on 2FA. Expect follow-up "recovery service" offers and ignore them, since they are a common second scam. Defenders should block the domain and the vexotra.com parent at DNS and proxy level, and search their logs for any earlier visits.
