PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

dahawin.com is a young domain on the PhishDestroy blocklist. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-10-07, about two weeks after it was registered. No impersonated brand or page title has been identified, so the specific lure is not yet pinned down. As of 2026-10-19 the site was alive and, rather than serving its own page, was sending visitors on to another destination.

How the scam works

A live domain that does nothing but forward traffic usually works as a gateway. Links shared in messages, ads or social posts point to the throwaway name, and the operator decides where visitors finally land. That landing page can be swapped at any time without changing the link people already clicked. The risk is that the final page asks for logins, payments or wallet access. It is the destination, not dahawin.com itself, that would collect whatever a victim enters.

Evidence

On 2026-10-18, five of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a low count, but these are independent vendors reaching the same conclusion about a domain only weeks old. The domain also appears in two AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which means other researchers have tied it to tracked malicious activity. Among blocklists, it is currently listed by PhishDestroy.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-21 through TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown and was on PhishDestroy's radar 16 days later. That short gap is typical of disposable domains set up for a single campaign. Traffic runs through Cloudflare (AS13335, US), whose proxy hides the real origin server from visitors. The Let's Encrypt certificate gives the site a padlock in the browser, but it only encrypts the connection and says nothing about whether the site is trustworthy.

What to do

Do not follow links to dahawin.com, and close any page it forwards you to. If you typed a password on the page you landed on, change it at once wherever you reuse it, and turn on app-based two-factor authentication. If you entered card details, contact your bank. If you typed a wallet recovery phrase, treat that wallet as lost and move its funds to a new wallet created on a clean device. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level, look through logs for users who were redirected from it, and report it to Cloudflare and the registrar.
