Overview

chipmixer.pro presents itself as "ChipMixer — No-KYC Bitcoin Tumbler & Crypto Mixer" and targets Bitcoin users who want to break the on-chain trail of their coins. PhishDestroy classifies it as impersonation phishing aimed at Bitcoin holders. We first flagged it on 2026-10-08. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online with its content live. The page title presents a branded mixing service, while our classification is Bitcoin-themed impersonation phishing.

How the scam works

A mixer asks you to send coins to a deposit address and promises to return the same amount, minus a fee, from unrelated coins. A fake mixer simply keeps the deposit. The "No-KYC" pitch matters because it draws users who are unlikely to complain to an exchange or the police once the coins vanish. Victims lose whatever Bitcoin they send. Some are then asked for an extra "fee" to release the mixed output, which is also stolen.

Evidence

On 2026-10-12, 6 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky and SOCRadar. That is a modest count, but it comes from vendors working independently of one another. The domain is also on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists alongside PhishDestroy's own. It appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tracked it separately.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-05-31 through Global Domain Group LLC, about 130 days before PhishDestroy detected it. A gap of that length suggests the domain was prepared well before it was put to use, not registered on the spot. The site sits behind Cloudflare (AS13335, US), which hides the server actually hosting the page.

What to do

If you sent Bitcoin to this site, do not send more, and refuse any "release" or "withdrawal" fee it demands, because no coins will come back. Save the deposit address, your transaction IDs and screenshots, then report the loss to your national cybercrime unit. Treat anyone who contacts you offering to recover the funds as a likely second scam. Defenders should block chipmixer.pro at DNS and proxy level and check logs for users who visited it. They should also treat other "ChipMixer"-branded domains with the same suspicion.
