PhishDestroy threat report
bridgexgetbit.vip is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as BridgeX, which is the title the page displays to visitors. It is aimed at crypto users who expect a legitimate bridging or exchange service and are willing to connect a wallet or move funds through it. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-25, and as of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.
Impersonation pages like this copy the name and look of a crypto service so that the victim trusts the interface and acts on it. Under the BridgeX banner, the victim is typically asked to connect a wallet, sign transactions or approvals, type in a recovery phrase, or send tokens to be bridged or deposited. Whichever step the victim completes, the result is the same: assets move to the operators, or they gain the keys or permissions needed to empty the wallet later. The extra "getbit" in the domain name is the kind of lookalike padding used to make a fake address feel official.
On 2026-10-03, 12 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including BitDefender, Kaspersky, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, CRDF and alphaMountain.ai. That is a minority of engines, but it is a broad spread of independent vendors. The domain is also on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists alongside PhishDestroy, which matters because MetaMask users get a warning before the page loads. Spamhaus lists it in its DBL as spam, and two AlienVault OTX pulses reference it.
The domain was registered through Spaceship, Inc. on 2026-08-09, 47 days before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap leaves room for setup and early promotion before blocklists catch up. The site is hosted on CTG Server Limited's network in Hong Kong and uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
If you connected a wallet to this BridgeX page, use a token-approval checker to revoke any allowances or permissions you granted, and move remaining assets to a new wallet if you signed anything you did not understand. If you entered a seed phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and transfer funds to a freshly generated wallet immediately. Tokens already sent for "bridging" cannot be recalled, so do not pay any follow-up fee that promises to release them. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and add its Hong Kong hosting to monitoring for related BridgeX lookalikes.
