Overview

beyondthepaleart.shop is a fake online shop that presents itself as "Fine Art Posters – Beyond The Pale Posters." It targets people shopping for art prints and posters, especially buyers hunting for discounted pieces. PhishDestroy first saw the site on 2026-10-16. As of 2026-10-19 it was still online with its storefront live, so it can still take orders and payments.

How the scam works

Shops like this copy the look of a real poster or print store, with polished product photos, a catalogue of fine art posters and prices low enough to prompt a quick purchase. The buyer pays at checkout and then receives nothing, a cheap item unlike the listing, or endless shipping excuses until the window for a dispute has passed. Victims lose the money they paid. They also hand over their name, address, email, phone number and often card details, which can be reused for fraud or follow-up scams.

Evidence

urlscan.io rated the site malicious and specifically flagged it as a fake shop, which matches our classification. On VirusTotal, 8 of 92 engines flagged it as of 2026-10-19: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue, SOCRadar and Webroot. That is a minority of engines, but the vendors come from several independent sources. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses and on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-03-25 through Spaceship, Inc., about seven months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests a storefront that was set up and left to collect buyers before it came to attention. The site resolves to an address on the Malakmadze Web LLC network, a Georgian-registered provider, with the server located in the US. Its certificate is a free, automatically issued Let's Encrypt one, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the shop is legitimate.
