PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

This throwaway Cloudflare Pages subdomain hosted an impersonation phishing page aimed at crypto users, built to pass itself off as a legitimate service. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-31. The site has been offline since 2026-09-11, and when last checked on 2026-10-19 the hosting provider was still blocking its content. The page title now reads "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", which is Cloudflare's own warning screen rather than the original lure, while we classify the site as impersonation phishing.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages copy the look of a brand people already trust, such as a wallet, exchange or platform login, so the visitor acts without second-guessing the address. The victim is pushed to sign in, enter a recovery phrase, or follow "verification" steps, and whatever is typed goes straight to the operator. The cost is account takeover or a fully emptied wallet. The random-looking subdomain mimics the autogenerated names of real Pages projects, which makes the address look harmless at a glance.

Evidence

urlscan.io rated the page malicious, and PhishDestroy lists it on our blocklist. VirusTotal tells a different story. On 2026-09-10, none of its 89 engines flagged the domain, so a clean VirusTotal result should not be taken as proof of safety here. Cloudflare's own block, which put its phishing interstitial in place of the page, is the strongest independent confirmation.

Infrastructure

The Pages project was created on 2026-07-04, almost two months before PhishDestroy caught it, which suggests it was set up ahead of time or ran quietly before anyone noticed. It sat on Cloudflare's network, with the serving IP geolocated to Canada. Free static hosting like this lets operators launch copies quickly under disposable names. Cloudflare took it down about eleven days after our first sighting.

What to do

If you entered a password on this page, change it right away on the real service and on any account that reuses it, then turn on app-based 2FA. If you typed in a seed phrase or private key, treat that wallet as compromised and move your funds to a new wallet created with a fresh phrase. Do not go back to the page, and ignore any follow-up messages that push you toward new "recovery" links. Defenders should block the domain and watch for sibling pages.dev subdomains that follow the same random naming pattern, because operators tend to reappear under fresh names.
