PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

bellarosequiltsstyle.shop is a fake online store that borrows the Bella Rose Quilts name and presents itself as a source of "Quality Quilting Supplies in N.A." Its target is hobby quilters and crafters, mostly in North America, looking for fabric, notions and kits at a good price. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-13. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its storefront.

How the scam works

Shoppers arrive through ads, social media posts or search results and find what looks like a real quilting retailer, with Bella Rose Quilts branding in the page title. Prices are usually low enough to push a quick purchase, and checkout asks for card details, a shipping address, an email and a phone number. Victims typically lose the payment. They also hand over personal and card data that can be reused for fraud. When anything ships at all, it is often a cheap item unrelated to the order, sent so the seller can show a tracking number and fight chargebacks.

Evidence

urlscan.io rates the site as malicious and specifically identifies it as a fake shop. On VirusTotal, 8 of 92 engines flag the domain as of 2026-10-17: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue, SOCRadar and Webroot. That is a minority of engines, but it is a spread of independent vendors, which is significant for a shop that looks harmless. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers are tracking it too.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-03-26 through Spaceship, Inc., more than six months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests it may have been prepared well before it went live, or that it ran unnoticed for some time. It is hosted on the Malakmadze Web LLC network in Georgia, far from the North American customers the storefront claims to serve. Pairing a foreign host with a lookalike brand on a cheap .shop domain is a pattern seen across many disposable fake-store operations.

What to do

If you paid on this site, call your card issuer or bank now, report the charge as fraud and ask about a chargeback. Ask for a replacement card if you entered card details. Keep any order emails or screenshots as evidence, and expect phishing messages aimed at the email and phone number you gave. Before buying from a quilting shop you found through an ad, confirm its web address against a source you trust. Security teams should block the domain and its hosting IP, and report it to payment processors and consumer-protection agencies so they can act on it.
