basedone.lol is an impersonation phishing page built around the Based brand. It is titled "Based Rewards Proposal | Eligible Voters Receive Rewards" and aims at crypto users who expect governance votes or community payouts from the project. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-27. The site went offline on 2026-09-30 and its DNS was still inactive at the last check on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
The lure is a fake governance proposal that promises rewards to "eligible voters." Visitors are invited to check eligibility, cast a vote or claim a payout. In schemes of this kind, that step means connecting a wallet and signing a transaction or message dressed up as a vote or claim. The signature can grant token approvals or authorize transfers, letting the operators drain assets. Nothing is actually voted on, and no reward is ever paid.

Four blocklists list the domain: PhishDestroy, MetaMask, ScamSniffer and SEAL. The last three focus on wallet threats, which ties the site directly to crypto theft. On VirusTotal, 6 of 91 engines flagged it as of 2026-09-29: alphaMountain.ai, Ermes, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and Sophos. That count is modest, which is common for short-lived crypto lures, but the wallet-security listings carry more weight here. The domain also appears in 3 AlienVault OTX threat pulses.

The domain was registered through Eranet International Limited on 2026-09-25, only two days before PhishDestroy detected it. That quick turnaround fits a campaign spun up for a single lure. The site sat behind Cloudflare, Inc., with the address geolocated to Canada. The proxy hid the real origin server. Its whole active life lasted about five days.
