Overview

bakuronelai.shop presents itself as "Bakuronel AI | a premium AI trading | Official Main Page". The site claims to be the official home of an automated AI trading service, and PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page. It targets people looking for hands-off crypto trading profits. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-10, and it was still online and serving content on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Fake AI trading sites follow a familiar script. They promise a proprietary algorithm that grows deposits automatically, and they label themselves the "official" page so visitors trust them over any warnings they may have read. Victims are pushed to register, hand over contact or account details, and fund a trading balance. The dashboard then shows climbing profits that cannot be withdrawn. Money sent in is lost, and requests to cash out are usually met with demands for more payments.

Evidence

When checked on 2026-09-18, 16 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. The vendors include BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, CyRadar and the Vietnamese anti-scam project Chong Lua Dao. That spread of independent vendors backs the classification, even though most engines had not yet caught up. The domain also appears in five AlienVault OTX threat pulses and is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through NETIM on 2026-07-22, about 50 days before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests it was prepared in advance rather than spun up and burned within hours. Traffic runs through Cloudflare, with the address geolocating to Canada, which places the real origin server behind the proxy. Its Google Trust Services certificate gives the site a padlock, but that only means the connection is encrypted, not that the operator is legitimate.

What to do

Do not deposit anything, and do not pay any "withdrawal fee", tax or account-unlock charge the site or its support staff demand. Those payments are how these schemes squeeze victims a second time. If you registered, change any password you reused there, and turn on two-factor authentication for your email and exchange accounts. If you sent funds, save your transaction IDs and any chat logs, report the loss to your exchange and local police, and ignore "recovery agents" who contact you afterwards. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and add it to mail filters, since the site was still live as of 2026-10-19.
