PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

azxzzzzzzzz.netlify.app is a phishing page that impersonates Trust Wallet and presents itself under the title "Transfer Trust Wallet". It targets people who hold crypto in Trust Wallet. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-04. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online with its phishing content live, so it remains a working trap.

How the scam works

The "Transfer Trust Wallet" title sells a routine task, such as moving, migrating or syncing a wallet. Pages built around this lure usually ask the visitor to type in their 12- or 24-word recovery phrase, or to connect the wallet and sign a request. A recovery phrase gives the operator full control of the wallet. They can then empty every asset it holds, on any device, without the victim's further involvement. Trust Wallet never asks for a recovery phrase through a website, so any page that requests one is fraudulent.

Evidence

On 2026-09-16, 13 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the site. They include alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, ESET, Emsisoft, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data and Gridinsoft. That is a minority of engines, but the names cover several major independent vendors. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and specifically detected Trust Wallet branding on the page, which matches our classification. The crypto-focused blocklist ScamSniffer lists it alongside PhishDestroy.

Infrastructure

The page is not on a registered domain of its own. It sits on a throwaway subdomain of Netlify's free hosting platform, which lets anyone launch a page in minutes and abandon it just as quickly. It resolves to 35.157.26.135 in Germany. Its DigiCert certificate is the one Netlify provides by default, so the browser padlock says nothing about who runs the page.

What to do

If you entered your recovery phrase on this page, treat the wallet as compromised. Create a new wallet with a fresh phrase on a trusted device and move any remaining funds immediately. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, revoke token approvals for that address with a reputable approval checker and watch it for unexpected transfers. If you only viewed the page, close it and do not return. Defenders should block the hostname at DNS and proxy level, report it to Netlify for takedown, and remind users that wallet providers never request recovery phrases online.
