PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

aurex.cloud is an impersonation phishing page. It presents itself under the title "AUREX // NOC-01", styled as a network operations console for a brand called Aurex, and is aimed at crypto users who might mistake it for a genuine service portal. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-25. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its phishing content.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages borrow the look and name of a trusted service so visitors assume they are on an official dashboard. The "NOC-01" framing suggests an internal or administrative panel, which can push a visitor to sign in, verify an account or connect a wallet without second-guessing it. Anything typed into such a page goes straight to the operators: account passwords and one-time codes, recovery phrases, or a wallet signature that hands over control of funds. The page title reads like an infrastructure monitoring screen rather than a typical consumer login, while our classification places the site as impersonation phishing.

Evidence

On 2026-10-06, 4 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That count is low, so many security products will still let the page load without warning. ScamSniffer, a crypto-focused blocklist, lists it independently alongside PhishDestroy. It also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows other researchers have tracked it too.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through NAMECHEAP INC on 2026-09-14, just 11 days before PhishDestroy detected it. A newly registered domain that goes live this quickly is typical of short-lived phishing campaigns. The site resolves to 76.76.21.21 on an Amazon.com, Inc. network in the US, and it uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate. The padlock in the browser therefore proves nothing about who runs the site.

What to do

If you entered a password or 2FA code on aurex.cloud, change that password right away on the real service and on any account that reuses it. Then reset your two-factor setup and sign out all active sessions. If you typed a seed phrase, treat the wallet as compromised and move your funds to a newly generated wallet. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, review and revoke token approvals with a trusted approval checker. Defenders should block the domain and its IP at the DNS and proxy level, and check their logs for visits since 2026-09-14.
