PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

atmotocrossracing.shop is a fraudulent storefront dressed up as AT Motocross. It advertises helmets, boots, riding kit and parts with free UK delivery, which points it squarely at British motocross riders shopping for gear. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-07 and classifies it as an e-commerce scam. On 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its shop content.

How the scam works

The page title, "AT Motocross Shop for Helmets, Boots, Kit, Parts | FREE UK Delivery", is built to catch riders searching for a known motocross retailer. Fake shops like this present a familiar-looking catalogue, often with tempting prices, and push the buyer through a checkout that collects card details, name, address and phone number. The order is either never shipped or replaced with something worthless, and the buyer loses the payment. The card and personal details they typed in can then be reused for further fraud.

Evidence

Seven of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain when it was checked on 2026-10-11: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue, SOCRadar and Webroot. That is a minority of engines, but the agreement across unrelated vendors is significant for a shop that looks harmless at a glance. urlscan.io rated the site malicious and specifically marked it as a fake shop. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses and is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Spaceship, Inc. on 2026-03-27, roughly six months before PhishDestroy detected it. A gap that long can mean the domain was held in reserve or traded quietly before the shop went live. It resolves to 37.72.142.130 on a network run by Malakmadze Web LLC, a provider registered in Georgia, with the address geolocated to the United States. The free Let's Encrypt certificate only provides the padlock icon and is no evidence that the shop is genuine.

If you ordered from this site, call your card issuer or bank now, report the transaction as fraud and ask for a chargeback. Cancel or replace the card you used. Expect phishing emails, texts or calls that quote your order or address, and do not pay any "customs" or "delivery" fee you are asked for. If you created an account, change that password on any other site where you used it. Defenders should block the domain and its hosting IP, and retailers in the motocross space should watch for further lookalike storefronts that copy their branding.
