PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

astraruneonline.com is an impersonation phishing page that urlscan.io matched to generic banking branding. It is a lookalike login portal aimed at people who manage money online, not a copy of one named institution. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-07. As of 2026-10-19 the domain still answered, but DNS for its content was reported inactive, so the phishing page may be offline for now while the domain stays available to its operator.

How the scam works

The page carries a bland title, "Home - astraruneonline," while urlscan.io detected generic banking branding, so the site's name alone does not reveal what it imitates. Pages like this copy a bank's sign-in screen and collect usernames, passwords and often the SMS or app codes that confirm logins and transfers. Operators reuse those details right away to enter the real account, change contact settings and move funds before the victim notices.

Evidence

urlscan.io gave the site a malicious verdict and identified the generic banking brand. On VirusTotal, 6 of 92 engines flagged it as of 2026-10-11: alphaMountain.ai, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, Netcraft, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That is a small share of engines, but it includes phishing-focused vendors such as Netcraft. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, and PhishDestroy lists it on its own blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-04-01 through TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown, about six months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap fits a domain held in reserve before use. Traffic runs through Cloudflare's network in the US, which hides the real origin server. The site uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the browser padlock says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

If you entered banking details here, call your bank using the number on your card and ask them to freeze or review the account. Change your online banking password, and change it on any other site where you used the same one. Check recent transactions and saved payees for anything you did not add, and treat any code you typed on the page as compromised. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and the mail gateway, and search proxy logs for visits since 2026-10-07 to find users who may need to reset their credentials.
