PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

apps-rabby.framer.website was a phishing page impersonating Rabby, the browser wallet popular with DeFi users. It was built on Framer's website builder and aimed at people looking for Rabby's app or extension. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-17. The site went offline on 2026-09-22 and was still dead with no content at the root on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

The "apps-rabby" subdomain is designed to look like an official Rabby download or dashboard page. A free Framer subdomain gives the operator a polished page without registering a domain of their own. Pages like this typically ask visitors to "connect", "verify" or "restore" their wallet. They then capture the seed phrase or prompt signatures that hand control of the funds to the attacker, and the victim can lose every asset that wallet controls. The page title now reads "Site Not Found | Framer", which is Framer's default page for a removed site, while we classified the domain as Rabby impersonation.

Evidence

Crypto-focused blocklists back the classification. MetaMask and SEAL both list the domain alongside PhishDestroy, which means MetaMask's built-in protection warns its users away. On VirusTotal, 4 of 89 engines flagged it as of 2026-09-23: ChainPatrol, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF and Forcepoint ThreatSeeker. That count is low, so most general-purpose scanners would not have warned a visitor. The wallet-ecosystem listings are the stronger signal here.

Infrastructure

The 2021-11-19 registration date and the CSC Corporate Domains registrar belong to Framer's shared parent domain, not to the scammer. They say nothing about when this lure was created. The operator only needed a free subdomain, which is why these pages appear and vanish quickly. The site was served from Amazon.com, Inc. infrastructure in the Netherlands, consistent with Framer's hosting. Its Let's Encrypt certificate is standard for the platform and does not mean the page is legitimate.

What to do

If you typed your Rabby seed phrase or private key into this page, treat that wallet as compromised. Create a new wallet with a fresh seed phrase and move any remaining assets immediately. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, review and revoke token approvals with a trusted approval checker. Only download Rabby through its official site or verified browser extension stores, never from site-builder subdomains. Defenders should block apps-rabby.framer.website and watch for other wallet-brand subdomains on Framer and similar builders, reporting them to the platform's abuse team.
