PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

amouagehq.shop is an impersonation phishing page. Its name pairs the luxury fragrance house Amouage with "HQ" and a .shop ending, which suggests an official storefront aimed at people shopping for the brand's perfumes. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-01. It was still online and serving content when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Brand-impersonation shops use a familiar luxury name and unusually low prices to persuade buyers to check out on a site the brand does not run. The checkout step is the point of the scheme. Card numbers, billing addresses, phone numbers and email addresses typed there go straight to the operators, and any order placed is unlikely ever to arrive. The browser tab shows only the bare domain rather than a store or brand name, so it gives visitors no clue about who is actually behind the page.

Evidence

Seven of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain on 2026-10-01: alphaMountain.ai, CyRadar, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue and Webroot. That is a minority, but the seven come from separate vendors with their own detection methods, which makes the agreement meaningful. The domain also appears in one AlienVault OTX threat pulse and on the PhishDestroy blocklist. Most engines had not yet caught up when it was checked, so many browsers and security tools may still let it load without a warning.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Spaceship, Inc. on 2026-03-15, about 200 days before PhishDestroy detected it. A gap that long suggests the operators either held the name in reserve or ran it quietly for months before it drew attention. The site is hosted in the United States on AS199242 (Malakmadze Web LLC). It uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the shop is legitimate.

What to do

If you entered card details on amouagehq.shop, call your bank today to block the card and dispute any charges, and check your statements for small test transactions. If you reused a password from this site anywhere else, change it on those accounts. Expect follow-up phishing sent to the email and phone number you gave, and only buy Amouage products through the brand's own channels or retailers you already know. Defenders should block the domain and the hosting IP at the DNS and proxy level, and report the site to the registrar and the hosting provider.
