Overview

alpha-start-ledgr.pages.dev is a phishing page hosted on Cloudflare's free Pages service and classified by PhishDestroy as Cloudflare impersonation. It appears on wallet-focused blocklists, which indicates its likely audience is crypto users. PhishDestroy first recorded it on 2026-08-10. The site has been offline since 2026-09-13, and as of 2026-10-19 the hosting provider is blocking its content.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages borrow the look and authority of a trusted brand, here Cloudflare, so a visitor lowers their guard and follows the page's instructions. In crypto-targeted variants, that usually means typing a recovery phrase, logging in, or approving a request that hands control of accounts or funds to the operator. The page currently carries the title "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", which is Cloudflare's own warning interstitial rather than the original lure. The title shows Cloudflare's phishing notice, while our classification covers the impersonation content the page hosted earlier.

Evidence

On 2026-09-14, 12 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the address as malicious. The vendors included alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, ESET, Emsisoft, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, LevelBlue and Lionic. That is a minority of engines, but the flags come from several unrelated vendors. Beyond PhishDestroy, the domain is listed by MetaMask and SEAL, two blocklists maintained specifically to protect wallet users. Cloudflare's own decision to replace the content with a phishing warning is a further independent confirmation.

Infrastructure

The Pages project dates to 2025-11-06, about nine months before PhishDestroy detected it. A long-lived free subdomain like this can be repurposed at any time without registering anything new. Hosting resolves to Cloudflare, Inc. infrastructure geolocated in Canada, and the Google Trust Services certificate is the default one for the platform. In practice, the padlock in the browser said nothing about whether the site was legitimate.

What to do

If you typed a recovery phrase or private key on this page, treat that wallet as compromised and move any remaining assets to a newly created wallet immediately. If you entered a password, change it everywhere you reused it and enable app-based two-factor authentication. Remember that a free hosting subdomain is never an official login portal. Security teams should block the hostname, search proxy and DNS logs for visits since 2026-08-10, and warn users who may have interacted with it.
