PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

adsbom.online presents itself as 出海广告平台, a "going-global advertising platform," a pitch aimed at Chinese-speaking companies that buy ads to reach overseas markets. PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page and first flagged it on 2026-08-24. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.

How the scam works

Fake ad-buying platforms promise cheap or easy access to foreign ad inventory and then ask visitors to register, sign in, or fund an advertising balance. Schemes like this usually collect account credentials and contact details, then push the victim to top up the balance, often in crypto, and leave them with money that never turns into real ad delivery. When the victim tries to withdraw, the operators commonly invent extra "verification" or "unlock" fees. Anything paid into such a balance should be treated as lost, and any password typed on the page should be treated as stolen.

Evidence

Four of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain at the 2026-10-06 check: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That count is low, so most browser and antivirus protections will still let the page load without a warning. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which means other researchers have tracked it independently. PhishDestroy is the only blocklist listing it so far.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Namecheap on 2026-02-09, about six and a half months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap fits an operation that prepares domains in advance and puts them to use later. The site runs on Render's cloud platform in the United States. Its certificate comes from Google Trust Services (WE1), and certificates like this are issued automatically, so the browser padlock says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

Do not register, log in, or deposit funds on adsbom.online. If you created an account there, change that password everywhere you reused it and turn on two-factor authentication for your real ad and email accounts. If you topped up a balance, stop sending money, refuse any "fee" required to withdraw, and report the payments to your bank, payment provider or the exchange you sent crypto from, keeping screenshots and transaction references. Defenders should block the domain, warn marketing and procurement teams about fake overseas ad resellers, and report it to Render and Namecheap abuse contacts.
