9016bahis.com is classified as an impersonation phishing page that borrows Cloudflare's name and branding. Its targets are visitors who trust a familiar infrastructure brand, along with anyone lured by a betting-style domain name. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-08-01. The site has been offline since 2026-09-13 and its content is blocked by the provider. It was still unreachable when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Cloudflare impersonation works because people see Cloudflare screens every day, such as security checks, verification prompts and interstitials, and rarely question them. A fake version of such a screen can push the visitor to sign in, confirm an account or follow a link to a credential-harvesting form. Anything typed there, including passwords and one-time codes, goes straight to the operator. The page title reads "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", which matches Cloudflare's own warning interstitial, while PhishDestroy classifies the domain itself as a Cloudflare impersonation page.

Evidence

On 2026-09-13, 13 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. The named vendors include alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data and Gridinsoft. Because these are unrelated vendors, their agreement means the verdict does not rest on a single feed. The domain also appears in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tracked it as well. Among blocklists, it is currently listed by PhishDestroy.

Infrastructure

The domain is registered through Fewmoretaps OU d/b/a Trustname.com. It resolves to 188.114.97.9 on Cloudflare, Inc.'s network, geolocated to Canada, so the true origin server is hidden behind the proxy. Its TLS certificate from Google Trust Services (WE1) is the standard edge certificate on Cloudflare-fronted sites. The padlock therefore says nothing about who runs the site. Cloudflare sitting in front of a page that abuses Cloudflare's own brand also explains why the provider block could take the content down quickly.
