Overview

8bn7987b.pages.dev is an impersonation phishing page that borrowed Cloudflare's branding, placing it inside the provider's own free Pages hosting. It targets Cloudflare users and anyone who trusts a Cloudflare-styled prompt. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-06. The site has been offline since 2026-09-13, its content blocked by the provider, and it was still down when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Pages like this copy the look of a familiar service so a visitor believes they are on a genuine Cloudflare screen, then ask them to sign in or complete a fake verification step. Anything typed in goes to the operator. For a Cloudflare account, that means the attacker can control the victim's domains, DNS and security settings. The page title currently reads "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", a warning label, while PhishDestroy classifies the site as Cloudflare impersonation.

Evidence

Thirteen of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-14. They include ESET, BitDefender, Fortinet, G-Data, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, CyRadar and Google Safe Browsing. That is a minority of engines, but the vendors come from several unrelated security companies. Google Safe Browsing classifies the site as social engineering, which matches the impersonation verdict. The domain is also listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The subdomain was created on 2026-08-04, just two days before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap points to a short-lived page put up for a single campaign. It was issued through Cloudflare Pages and served from Cloudflare, Inc. network space geolocated to Canada. Hosting a fake Cloudflare page on a Cloudflare-owned address lends it surface credibility, since the domain itself looks legitimate to a hurried visitor.

What to do

If you entered Cloudflare credentials on this page, change your password immediately and turn on two-factor authentication if it isn't already active. Then review active sessions, API tokens and recent account activity. Check your zones for unexpected DNS records, redirects or new members, and revoke anything you don't recognize. Reuse of the same password elsewhere means those accounts need new passwords too. Defenders should block the domain, watch for similar random-string pages.dev subdomains carrying Cloudflare branding, and report fresh variants to the hosting provider.
