PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

usdt2trx.my is on the PhishDestroy blocklist as a suspicious domain. Its name suggests a service for converting USDT into TRX, which would appeal to people moving stablecoins on the TRON network. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-06. When last checked on 2026-10-19, the site was still responding, but its DNS was inactive, so the page may not load reliably.

How the scam works

The page shows only the title "Loading" and offers no visible content that identifies a legitimate operator. A domain named after a USDT-to-TRX swap, with no visible operator, carries a clear risk. Visitors may be asked to send tokens to an address and receive nothing back, or to connect a wallet and approve transactions they do not understand. Because no specific scheme has been confirmed, treat any request for deposits, seed phrases or wallet signatures on this domain as hostile.

Evidence

Five of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-19: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet and SOCRadar. That is a low count, but these are independent vendors reaching the same conclusion about a very young domain. Spamhaus lists it in its Domain Block List under the spam category. It also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which means other researchers have tied it to suspicious activity.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-21 through Gname.com Pte. Ltd., just 15 days before PhishDestroy detected it. A short gap like this is common for throwaway sites built for crypto fraud. It resolves to 46.29.26.38, which sits on a network registered to M/S Robi Traders (Bangladesh), while the IP itself is located in Finland. The site uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the operator is trustworthy.

What to do

Do not send USDT, TRX or any other token to an address this site shows you, and do not enter a seed phrase or private key. If you connected a TRON or other wallet and signed anything, review and revoke token approvals with a trusted approval-management tool. If you shared a seed phrase, move your funds to a new wallet immediately. If you already sent funds, record the transaction hashes and report them to your exchange and to local authorities. Defenders should block the domain and its IP at DNS and proxy level and add it to watchlists for related swap-themed lookalikes.
