PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

usdc056.com is an impersonation phishing page whose domain borrows the USDC stablecoin ticker, followed by a number, to look like an official or affiliated service. It targets people who hold or trade USDC and crypto wallet users. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-09. The site has been offline since 2026-10-14, its content blocked by the provider, and it was still down when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Sites like this rely on brand recognition. A victim who arrives from a link or ad sees a familiar stablecoin name and is pushed to log in, connect a wallet, verify holdings or claim a supposed balance. Any of these steps can hand over credentials, recovery phrases or wallet permissions that let the operator move funds. The page title reads "onkeyon," which has no visible link to USDC, while we classified the site as USDC-themed impersonation based on the domain name.

Evidence

Independent coverage is thin. On 2026-10-13, VirusTotal showed 3 of 92 engines flagging the domain: Bfore.Ai PreCrime, LevelBlue and SOCRadar. Most of these vendors specialize in early or predictive threat intelligence, which fits a domain caught shortly after it went live. The domain also appears in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses. Among blocklists, PhishDestroy is currently the only one listing it, so standard browser and security tools may not warn visitors.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2025-12-29 through Gname.com Pte. Ltd., roughly nine months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests it was registered in advance and activated later. The site sat behind Cloudflare, with the IP address geolocated to Canada, which hides the actual origin server. The provider blocked the content within days of detection.

What to do

If you entered a password, email or 2FA code on usdc056.com, change that password everywhere you reused it and reset your 2FA. If you typed a seed phrase or private key, treat that wallet as compromised and move the remaining funds to a new wallet right away. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, review and revoke token approvals with a trusted approval checker. Only reach USDC services by typing official addresses yourself, never through numbered lookalike domains. Defenders should block the domain and watch for sibling domains that follow the same usdc-plus-digits pattern.
