How the scam works
Pages like this copy the look of the Gmail sign-in screen so a visitor believes they are logging into their real mailbox. Whatever is typed into the form, usually the email address and password and sometimes a verification code, goes to the operators instead of Google. With control of the mailbox, an attacker can reset passwords on linked services, read exchange and wallet notifications, intercept two-factor codes sent by email and search old messages for seed phrases or account details.
