PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

netflix-online.it is a fraudulent online gambling site that borrows the Netflix name to appear familiar to Italian-speaking players. Its page is titled "Netflix Casino: 1.500 €, 200 giri e la verità sul nome", which translates as a €1,500 bonus, 200 free spins and "the truth about the name". Netflix runs no casino, so the brand serves only as a hook. PhishDestroy first flagged the domain on 2026-10-06, and it was still online and serving content on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Fraudulent casinos like this one lead with an oversized welcome package, here €1,500 plus 200 spins, to get visitors to register and fund an account. The "truth about the name" framing presents the borrowed Netflix branding as something explained and harmless, which lowers suspicion. In schemes of this type, deposits are accepted easily, but withdrawals stall behind wagering conditions, verification demands or extra fees. Victims lose the money they deposit and the personal and payment details they hand over at signup.

Evidence

On 2026-10-10, 19 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. Those vendors include alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, CyRadar, DNS8, ESET, Emsisoft and Forcepoint ThreatSeeker. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and identified Netflix branding on the page. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL under the phishing category, and it appears in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses. That is broad agreement from independent sources for a domain this young.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-08-20 through Hosting Concepts B.V., about seven weeks before PhishDestroy detected it. It resolves to an address on the OMEGATECH-AS (Omegatech LTD) network, hosted in the Netherlands. The Italian-language site runs on an Italian country-code domain but is served from Dutch hosting. The free Let's Encrypt certificate gives the page a padlock, which says nothing about whether the operator can be trusted.

What to do

Do not deposit or try to claim the advertised bonus. If you already paid by card or bank transfer, contact your bank right away to dispute the charges and block further debits. Do not pay any "fee" or "tax" requested to unlock a withdrawal, because that only adds to the loss. If you reused a password at signup, change it everywhere else you use it, and watch for follow-up contact from anyone offering to recover your funds. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and report its use of the Netflix name to the brand owner.
