Overview

marcotile.com presents itself as Marco Tile; its page title simply repeats the name, "Marco Tile – Marco Tile". PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page that borrows a business identity to win the trust of people looking for that brand. We first flagged it on 2026-10-14, and on 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving live content.

How the scam works

Impersonation sites copy a familiar brand's name and look so visitors believe they are dealing with the real company. Once that trust is in place, the page typically asks for something of value: payment for orders that never ship, card details at a fake checkout, account logins, or contact and address information that feeds later fraud. Because the title and branding look ordinary, victims often only realise something is wrong after money is gone or their details are being misused.

Evidence

Twelve of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-18, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, alphaMountain.ai and CRDF. That is a minority of engines, but the list includes several major independent security vendors, which supports the classification. The domain also appears in two AlienVault OTX threat pulses. Among blocklists, it is currently listed only by PhishDestroy, so many browsers and filters may not warn visitors yet.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through NameCheap, Inc. on 2023-08-21, more than three years before we detected it. A name held that long can carry more credibility than a freshly registered lookalike. The site is hosted in Canada on the WHG Hosting Services Ltd network, which is registered in Great Britain. It uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the browser padlock shows only that the connection is encrypted and does not confirm who runs the site.

If you paid through marcotile.com, contact your bank or card issuer now to dispute the charge and ask about blocking the card. If you created an account or entered a password, change it everywhere you reused it and turn on two-factor authentication.
