Overview

lenslab.co.uk presents itself as Lens Lab, a marketplace where photographers can hire, swap, buy and sell gear. PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page aimed at camera owners and buyers looking for a trusted place to trade equipment. We first saw it on 2026-09-13, and the site was still live with content served when last checked on 2026-10-19. The page title describes a legitimate-sounding photography exchange, while our classification is impersonation phishing.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages borrow the look and promise of a real service, in this case "Something new in photography... Hire, swap, buy, sell, enjoy!", to make visitors comfortable handing over details. A gear marketplace is an effective lure because users expect to register, list valuable equipment, and enter payment or delivery information. Victims can lose account credentials, personal and card data, money paid for rentals or purchases that never arrive, or equipment shipped to a buyer who is not real.

Evidence

On 2026-09-21, 9 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. Named vendors include alphaMountain.ai, Chong Lua Dao, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, Lionic, Seclookup and SOCRadar, a spread of independent web-filtering and threat-intel sources rather than a single feed.
