PhishDestroy threat report
ledgrrcom-strt.pages.dev is a phishing page that impersonates Ledger, the hardware wallet maker. Its title reads "Official Site® | Ledger.com/Start®", which copies the onboarding page new Ledger owners visit when setting up a device. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-08. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.
Fake "Ledger Start" pages catch people at their most trusting moment: unboxing a new device or troubleshooting an existing one. The misspelled "ledgrrcom-strt" subdomain and the trademark symbols in the title are meant to look official in a search result or a forwarded link. Pages in this scheme typically push a fake setup or "wallet sync" step that asks for the 24-word recovery phrase, or a download that is not genuine Ledger Live. Anyone who hands over the recovery phrase gives the operators full control of every asset protected by that device, and those funds can be emptied without touching the hardware itself.
Eight of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the site as of 2026-09-18: alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Kaspersky, LevelBlue and Netcraft. That count is modest, so many browsers and security tools may still let the page load without a warning. Crypto-focused blocklists are more consistent. MetaMask, SEAL and PhishFeed list it alongside PhishDestroy, and Spamhaus carries it on its domain blocklist under the phishing category.
The page is a subdomain on Cloudflare Pages, a free static hosting service, created on 2026-08-19. PhishDestroy detected it 20 days later. It resolves to Cloudflare, Inc. address space geolocated to Canada. Free platform subdomains like this one cost nothing and are quick to replace, which is why the domain name and title matter more than the hosting for recognising the next copy.
Ledger never asks for your recovery phrase on a website, in an app or by email. If you typed it on this page, treat the wallet as compromised. Set up the device with a freshly generated phrase and move all remaining assets to the new accounts immediately. If you downloaded software from the site, uninstall it, scan the machine, and get Ledger Live only from Ledger's official site. Defenders should block the hostname, watch for look-alike subdomains imitating Ledger setup pages on free hosting platforms, and report new copies to the platform's abuse team.
