Overview

kmc.gelian.com.ng is an impersonation phishing page titled "Kano Municipal Council IGR Platform". It copies the portal Kano Municipal Council uses to collect internally generated revenue such as rates, levies and permit fees. The likely targets are residents, traders and businesses in Kano who expect to pay these charges online. How the scam works

Fake government revenue portals take advantage of people who already owe something. Any identity or card details entered can be reused for further fraud.
