PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

This long, machine-generated hostname under acquency.com is an impersonation phishing page. It is built to pass itself off as a legitimate service to crypto users. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-09, and on 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving content. Its page title reads "404: This page could not be found.", while our classification is impersonation phishing.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages copy the look, wording and flow of a trusted platform so visitors believe they are on the real site. The visitor is then pushed toward a sensitive action, such as typing a login, entering a recovery phrase, or connecting and signing with a wallet. Anything submitted goes straight to the operators. A recovery phrase or signed approval can let them empty a wallet, and stolen login details can be reused to take over the account.

Evidence

On 2026-10-17, four of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged this host: Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and VIPRE. Most engines still miss it, so a clean result from a single scanner does not prove the page is safe. ScamSniffer, a blocklist focused on Web3 threats, also lists it. That gives a second, independent crypto-specific source alongside PhishDestroy.

Infrastructure

The parent domain acquency.com was registered on 2021-07-18 through Name.com, Inc., more than five years before PhishDestroy detected this subdomain. Phishing content placed on a long-registered domain can get past filters that treat new registrations with suspicion. The host resolves to 188.114.96.3 on Cloudflare's network in the US. That address belongs to a shared proxy and does not reveal the operators' actual server.

What to do

If you entered a password or email on this page, change that password everywhere you reused it and turn on app-based 2FA. If you typed in a seed phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and move your funds to a new wallet with a fresh phrase immediately. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, review and revoke token approvals for that address.
