hpcvip.com is a phishing site that presents itself under the title "IRENA", the name of the International Renewable Energy Agency. Visitors are asked to register, submit personal details or log in, and are often pushed to pay deposits or fees. Victims can lose their contact and identity details, any passwords they reuse elsewhere, and any money sent to the operators.
Evidence
Independent detection is thin. On 2026-09-22, only 2 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and SOCRadar. PhishDestroy is the only blocklist carrying it. The domain does appear in 4 AlienVault OTX pulses, so other researchers have linked it to threat activity. A clean result from most scanners should not be read as a sign that the site is safe.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through NameCheap, Inc. on 2026-05-12, about four months before PhishDestroy detected it. A domain that sits that long before use is often being held in reserve rather than launched right away. The site is hosted on the BreezeHost network in Malaysia at 154.7.228.45. What to do
If you signed up or logged in on hpcvip.com, change that password and any matching passwords elsewhere, then turn on two-factor authentication. If you paid any deposit, membership charge or "activation fee", contact your bank or payment provider immediately. Do not send further payments to unlock supposed returns. Watch for follow-up messages that use the IRENA name, and report any that arrive. Defenders should block the domain and its IP, and add the IRENA lure to phishing awareness material.
