PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

hpauto.pl is a Polish-language site that PhishDestroy classifies as an impersonation phishing page. It presents itself as "Warsztat samochodowy i SKP Szczecin | HP Auto Serwis", a car repair workshop and vehicle inspection station in Szczecin, so its likely audience is local drivers and Polish users searching for auto services. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-29. It was still online with live content on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

The page title shows an ordinary local garage, while our classification is impersonation phishing. Impersonation pages borrow the look and name of a trusted business so that visitors treat requests on the page as legitimate. Those requests can be booking forms, payment prompts or login screens. Anything typed into them, such as names, phone numbers, email logins or card details, goes to whoever controls the page rather than to a real workshop. On VirusTotal, 14 of 92 engines flagged it as of 2026-10-07. The flagging vendors include BitDefender, ESET, G-Data, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Lionic and Google Safe Browsing. Those are several major, independent vendors, even though most engines have not flagged it. The domain also appears on the PhishDestroy and PhishFeed blocklists.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2019-12-17, almost seven years before PhishDestroy detected it. It is not a throwaway domain registered just for a campaign, so its age should not be read as a sign of safety. Registration, hosting and the TLS certificate all come from home.pl sp. z o.o. The site runs on a home.pl network in Poland, and its domain-validated certificate only confirms control of the domain, not the identity of the business behind it.
