Overview

gambyone.us presents itself as "Gambyone: Most Popular Online Crypto Casino Based on Blockchain". PhishDestroy classifies it as a gambling site operating fraudulently. It targets people who want to bet with cryptocurrency and are drawn in by promises of a popular, blockchain-based casino. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-10-14, and the site was still online with live content on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Fraudulent crypto casinos borrow the look of legitimate betting platforms and use claims like "most popular" and "based on blockchain" to suggest scale and provable fairness. Players are pushed to deposit crypto, often with bonuses or early small wins that show up only as a balance on the site. When a player tries to cash out, the withdrawal stalls. It may be blocked by sudden verification steps, wagering conditions or extra fees, or the account may simply be frozen. Every coin deposited, plus any fee paid to unlock a withdrawal, is effectively lost.

Evidence

On 2026-10-14, 10 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. They include Kaspersky, BitDefender, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, alphaMountain.ai and the Vietnamese anti-scam group Chong Lua Dao. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and tagged the page as generic crypto branding and a crypto scam. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tracked it independently.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Namecheap on 2025-12-27, more than nine months before PhishDestroy detected it. That is long enough to build a player base and accumulate deposits. The site sits behind Cloudflare (AS13335, US address), which hides the actual origin server from visitors and investigators. Its certificate from Google Trust Services is a routine automated issuance and says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

Do not deposit anything more, and do not pay any "withdrawal fee", tax or verification charge to release a balance. That demand is the final stage of this scheme. If you already sent funds, save your transaction hashes, deposit addresses and account screenshots, then report them to your exchange and local police. Treat anyone who contacts you offering recovery for a fee as a second scam. If you reused a password on the site, change it elsewhere. Defenders should block gambyone.us at DNS and web proxies and add it to crypto-fraud watchlists.
