PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

echoriverforge.com is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself under the name ProMaster, a label with no connection to the domain name it sits on. It targets people who believe they are dealing with a legitimate ProMaster service. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-12. On 2026-10-19 the server still answered, but the page content could not be loaded.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages copy the name and look of a service the victim already trusts, then ask for what that service would normally ask for: an account login, identity details, a payment, or wallet access. Here the bait is the ProMaster branding, used to make a random-looking domain feel official. Anything typed into such a page goes straight to the operators. Victims typically lose account access, personal data that enables follow-up fraud, or money sent under false pretenses.

Evidence

On 2026-09-20, 16 of 89 VirusTotal engines marked the domain as malicious or phishing. That is a solid showing for a little-known domain, with independent names including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, CyRadar and Chong Lua Dao. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tracked it as well. Among public blocklists, it is currently listed by PhishDestroy.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Namecheap on 2026-07-14, about two months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap fits a domain that was set up and held in reserve before being put to use. It is hosted on the BL Networks network in the Netherlands.

What to do

If you entered a username and password on this site, change that password on the real ProMaster service and on any other account where you reused it, then turn on two-factor authentication. If you entered card or bank details, contact your bank and ask for the card to be blocked. If you typed a wallet recovery phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and move your funds to a new wallet right away. Watch for follow-up emails or messages that use ProMaster branding. Defenders should block echoriverforge.com and its hosting IP at DNS and proxy level, and search logs for earlier visits or form submissions.
