Overview

This site is a seed phrase theft page masquerading as the official Ledger Live wallet interface, targeting Ledger hardware wallet owners who believe they are logging into a legitimate portal. PhishDestroy first identified it on 2026-10-14, and as of 2026-10-18 the site remains fully live with active content. It is built on Framer's media hosting infrastructure, lending it a polished appearance that can deceive even cautious users.

How the scam works

The page presents itself under the title "Official Ledger® Live: Secure Wallet Login," mimicking the branding and language Ledger uses for its genuine desktop application. Visitors are prompted to enter their 12- or 24-word recovery seed phrase under the pretense of verifying or restoring their wallet. Once submitted, those words are transmitted directly to the attacker, who can then import the victim's wallet on any device and drain every asset it holds — there is no recovery once a seed phrase is compromised.

Evidence

VirusTotal flagged this domain as malicious on 2026-10-14, with 16 detections out of 92 engines queried; vendors confirming the threat include ESET, Fortinet, Emsisoft, G-Data, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Chong Lua Dao, DNS8, and alphaMountain.ai. urlscan.io independently returned a malicious verdict and attributed the page to the Ledger brand. The domain appears on four blocklists: PhishDestroy, MetaMask, SEAL, and PhishFeed.

Infrastructure

The domain connect-helpen.framer.media resolves to an IP in the Netherlands, hosted on Amazon.com AS16509. The TLS certificate was issued by Let's Encrypt (authority YE2), a free automated issuer commonly used by short-lived phishing pages. The parent domain framer.media was registered on 2021-11-19 through CSC Corporate Domains, Inc.
