PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

cocodoo.pro is an impersonation phishing site built to pass itself off as a legitimate service and capture whatever visitors trust it with. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-12. As of 2026-10-19 the domain is still alive and redirecting visitors onward, so it remains an active risk. The page title reads only "Home - cocodoo.pro" and names no brand, while our classification is impersonation.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages copy the look, wording and flow of a known service so the visitor believes they are on the real thing. Victims are then prompted to log in, verify an account, connect a wallet or enter a recovery phrase. Whatever is typed or approved goes straight to the operators. The redirect means the domain can act as a front door, forwarding traffic to wherever the current lure is hosted. Losses range from hijacked accounts to emptied wallets, and neither can be reversed once credentials or a seed phrase are handed over.

Evidence

When VirusTotal scanned the domain on 2026-09-20, 16 of 89 engines marked it malicious. The vendors that flagged it include BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF and CyRadar. Agreement among that many independent engines is a strong signal for a site this young. It also appears in 5 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, and PhishDestroy lists it on its blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through NameCheap, Inc. on 2026-07-13, about two months before PhishDestroy caught it. That gap is typical of a domain set up quietly and then pushed into circulation. It resolves to 188.114.96.3 on Cloudflare's network, geolocated to Canada, so the real origin server sits behind the proxy. Its certificate comes from Google Trust Services (WE1), which only means the connection is encrypted. The padlock says nothing about who runs the site.

What to do

If you entered a password on cocodoo.pro, change it on the genuine service right away. Enable or reset 2FA and sign out all active sessions. If you typed a seed phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and move the funds to a new wallet with a fresh phrase. If you connected a wallet and signed anything, revoke the token approvals with a trusted approval-checking tool. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and alert users who may have received links to it.
