PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

checkfortnite.cc is on the PhishDestroy blocklist. Its name invokes Fortnite and suggests some kind of account or item check aimed at players, but the page itself shows nothing more than the title "Loading". PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-10-06. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving content.

How the scam works

A page titled "Loading" offers no real service. It points to a site whose actual content is delivered by script or appears only after the visitor interacts. Pairing a game brand with the word "check" is a common way to draw players to pages that ask them to sign in or hand over account details. On this domain the specific mechanism has not been confirmed, so treat any login prompt, download or payment request here as hostile.

Evidence

On 2026-10-10, 9 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including Kaspersky, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, Bfore.Ai PreCrime, CRDF, Gridinsoft and LevelBlue. That is a minority of engines, but it is a spread of independent vendors rather than a single outlier. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as spam, and three AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it. Among public blocklists, only PhishDestroy carries it so far.
