PhishDestroy’s intake AI classified the domain as malicious because the subdomain contains “bitrefill.com” and the page title claims to be Bitrefill, a classic brand‑impersonation pattern. The page was first observed by PhishDestroy on 2026-10-21 and returned HTTP 200 with the recorded title “Buy Gift Cards & Top Up Airtime with Bitcoin or Crypto – Bitrefill.”

How the scam works

In brand‑impersonation phishing, attackers register a domain that mimics a legitimate brand’s name and host a page that appears to be the authentic service. Victims are lured into entering login credentials, payment details, or crypto wallet information under the false belief they are interacting with the real provider.

Evidence

VirusTotal scanned the domain on 2026-10-21 with 92 engines and reported zero detections and zero suspicious flags. Google Safe Browsing checked the same day and did not flag the URL.
