Overview

batarpay.com presents itself as "Your Digital Asset Platform", a crypto service under the batarpay name. PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page aimed at people looking for a place to store, trade or move digital assets. We first flagged it on 2026-09-27, and it was still live and reachable on 2026-10-19. The page title presents batarpay as its own platform rather than naming another brand, while our classification is impersonation.

How the scam works

Impersonation sites like this borrow the look and language of a legitimate crypto platform so a visitor believes they have reached a real service. The generic pitch of a digital asset platform is the hook. Victims are typically asked to register, log in, verify their identity or fund an account. Anything entered can be lost: login credentials, personal and identity details, and any crypto deposited into an account that the operators, not the user, control.

Evidence

Four of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-10: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a low count, so most browsers and filters will not warn a visitor yet. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows other researchers are tracking it. Among blocklists, only PhishDestroy lists it so far.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-05-23 through Atak Domain, about four months before we detected it. That gap suggests it was set up in advance and not spun up the day it went into use. It is hosted in Singapore on the Webhosting Holdings LLC network. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gives the site a browser padlock, but the padlock only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the operator is legitimate.
