PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

apph5-binance.com.cn is an impersonation phishing page that poses as Binance and targets Chinese-speaking users looking for the exchange's mobile app. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-10-15, the same day the domain was registered. As of 2026-10-19 the site was alive and serving its content.

How the scam works

The page title, "币安 - binanceApp下载", translates to "Binance - Binance App download" and presents the site as an official place to get the exchange's app. Fake app-download pages like this lure users with a familiar brand, then push a counterfeit app or a lookalike login flow that captures account credentials, two-factor codes, or wallet recovery phrases. Victims who install or log in can lose control of their exchange account and any funds or assets reachable with the stolen information. Official Binance apps come only from Binance's own site and the major app stores, never from a .com.cn lookalike with "apph5" in its name.

Evidence

On 2026-10-19, VirusTotal showed 6 of 92 engines flagging the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and VIPRE.
