PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

americangirlcreative.com is a fake online shop presenting itself under the generic page title "Buy Custom". It targets everyday shoppers looking for personalised or made-to-order products. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-05. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its storefront.

How the scam works

Shops like this copy the look of a legitimate retailer, list attractive custom items at discounted prices, and push visitors to checkout quickly. The victim pays, then receives nothing, a cheap item unrelated to the order, or a fake tracking number while support stops responding. Along with the money, the buyer hands over their name, address, phone number and card details, which can be reused for further fraud. The vague "Buy Custom" title suggests a template storefront that can be restocked with any product line.

Evidence

Six of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain when it was checked on 2026-10-06: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, Netcraft and SOCRadar. That count is modest, but these vendors specialise in web threats. urlscan.io rated the site malicious and specifically marked it as a fake shop. Spamhaus lists the domain on its DBL as spam. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses and on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-08-21 through TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown, about six weeks before PhishDestroy detected it. That is a short lifespan typical of throwaway storefronts that rotate once complaints build up. The site is hosted on the Malakmadze Web LLC network in Georgia. It uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser only means the connection is encrypted. It says nothing about whether the shop is genuine.

What to do

If you ordered from this site, contact your bank or card issuer right away to dispute the charge and request a new card. Keep your order confirmation and any emails as proof. If you paid through PayPal or a similar service, open a buyer-protection claim before the deadline passes. Expect phishing or follow-up scam calls that use the personal details you entered, and ignore any "refund" offers that ask for more payment. Security teams should block the domain, watch for lookalike storefronts using the same "Buy Custom" template, and report the site to the registrar and hosting provider.
